Astro Teddy

I drew this picture from inspiration from merchandise that STS9 was selling at a recent show I was at. I intend to add some background story to this piece eventually. I imagine a future traveler who by divine intervention or complete coincidence ended up crash landing on the moon. Having never seen Earth before with his own eyes since the planet was long ago destroyed and abandoned and knowing that he can't get any closer due to radiation and having only a crashed ship.

I made this card for my girlfriend Allison. We have a trip coming up in just a few months to Hawaii and recently watched Lilo and Stitch. She forgot how much she loved that movie and thought it was super cute and it got us both very excited for our trip. The pose that we are in facing the beach is taken from an actual picture we have. However the actual picture was taken in the middle of a road on a small hill overlooking Seattle. It is one of our favorite pictures and we have it framed so I decided to remake that but with us in Hawaii.
